    My latest wildlife closeup

I went down to the water again for the first time in a while, and saw this bird. (by the way, what kind of bird is this? I'm not quite sure). I took a few that I like, so I'm going to put up a few here, all similar. Tell me what you think, and which you like best. Thanks.

Some nice clean shots you have there! The bird is a heron ... a Great Blue Heron I believe.

Thanks. I thought it was a heron... for some reason I just wasn't completely sure for a bit, not sure what I was thinking....

I saw that first image and thought to myself "Holy smokes!" that is one great image. I'm thinking this could sell. As far as I am concerned you didn't really need to post anything after the first one.

Since this is a critique forum and even though there isn't anything you can do about it (except a different lens) but I don't really care for the shapes of the reflections in the water. But that is just a very small point against these really excellent images.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Ditto. There is nothing you could do better here except shoot with a f/2.8 lens to blur the background more and use a polarizer to tame the reflections off the water (depending on the time of day it could work or not). That's about it, and that's saying something .

Thanks! And yeah the reflecting water was annoying me. There were times when the breeze died down that it wasnt there at all, but none of the shots I had when it was like that were as good as these. I think this one will need to be printed.
