my first picture post

Hi... reluctantly posting my first picture.. just got my D60 and have only taken a couple even decent pictures.. still learning my way around it....
feel free to say what you want.... that's what it's here for...

Great first attempt! The shadowline across his left eye (our right) is problematic, but not so bad that it couldn't be fixed in photoshop (or if this is your little guy, just have him strike that pose again ). Love the color and composition though. The 5.56 aperture keeps the depth of field nice and tight, but open enough to keep his whole face in focus, so good job on that too.

Nice one. I think the sepia works ok and the shadow doesn't bother me.
I would do some spot healing on lips to get rid of the drool reflections.
