    I like it. My sense is that it was a quick candid. If it was something you had more time on, it would be nice to blur out that background more and get more to his eye level, I think.

    LL,

    Just unpacked my brand new Canon Powershot Pro1 back in 2004. I was sitting in a chair opposite and slightly higher and Dad was talking to my daughter, wife or brother in law, can't remember which.

    So yes it was a candid shot.
