Not what I was expecting from the tittle but I do like the combination of light and shadow.

agreed. the shadow is perfect, just wish the bg was straighter...other than that, well executed. was this shot with ambient? I also like the symmetry of it.

I don't get the title - not enough context I guess.

As for the photo - its well executed except the the pillar needing straightning. The shadows are lovely and crisp. Well captured.

My title would be - catching some ZZZ's or Napping or take five ...

or a title of "Hangin' out" might work.

The shot's OK but I find it wanted because so much of his face is in shadow. Esp his eyes. It might actually be better too if you had zoomed out a little.

The eyes are missing but necessary in this shot.

I'm going to disagree and say the 'missing' eyes make this photo more about the situation/mood/whatever than a creative portrait. I don't think the person needs to be able to be identifiable. Just my weird taste I guess.

I too think the eyes don't matter for this photo.

The fact that the person dominates the scene in a close shot makes it a portrait and therefore the eyes are necessary. The person however certainly does not need to be identifiable in any way but the eyes "should" contribute to the mood and for that matter create impact.

This by the way is a general view, reflected by editors and others who evaluate and choose photos for any kind of commercial use.
