    My back yard, sort of...

Was out doing some test shots earlier tonight. I have to get a new headshot of my wife for her Book agent's web site. I'm thinking of doing a slow shutter flash fill at sunset with Biscayne Bay as the backdrop. The following was shot right before sunset, no flash, etc. Had I been paying attention, I would have cut out the rocks in the foreground.

Cropping out the rocks should take care of that problem. I'd like to see another---this time with the flash fill.

Or adding more rocks would have created a lower border/frame and a foreground layer for perspective.

I'd like to see the slow shutter with flash effect for this. I'm only starting find out people use flash for landscape shots. I didn't realize the flash would make a difference in such a case.

I'll be doing the shoot with my wife in frame at sunset on Friday night, I'll post afterwards. This was just to get a feel for the background light. Thanks for the comments.
