I don't know about anyone else, but I see them. I am not usually 100% critical on the photos I comment on; I try to find something nice to say. However because this portion of the website is for critiques, I will. I don't like them. I don't care for the edge of the page in photo one, which dominates the entire image. And photo two, very narrow almost panoramic style with very shallow DOF making it very hard to view. At least for me. Sorry, but I know you are looking for comments.
Were they taken with the built-in flash?? i wouldn't do that with these pages, since they are white and here they are too white....
Like trog said, different angles might help a lot, and you might also wanna try using warmer lights.... try some house lights bringing them closer to the papers and then shoot without the flash.... And yeah, i agree with CF loose the panoramic crop, and cut down on the "sneaky" page in photo 1....
Keep trying though...different angles!
