    Murphy the Cat

One of the most even-tempered cats I have ever taken care of. Took this picture in October and I keep going back to it. Maybe its just the colors (ei, color of the wall vs color of cat).

    Re: Murphy the Cat

The colors are good. As is the subject. The focus and DOF is very interesting: it is not incredibly sharp, but the amt you chose seems to spark interest. But, I do feel that it might have been better if you had her eyes totally sharp. I am not sure about the composition. It is good that you led her eyes, but something seems off about it... I am not sure what it is. It could be due to the color of the background being pretty much the same as her color, or that you dont know what she's looking at - donno.

    Re: Murphy the Cat

as GB said, it would be nice if Murph were looking a bit more towards the camera, though not directly at it, and with a different color background. One stop up to bring his eyes in focus. (Sorry GB, but a cat named Murphy has gotta be a he, but I've been wrong before)

As for composition, it might work a bit better as either a profile or straight on portrait, though I understand how hard it is to get a cat to cooperate. Beautiful cat.
