Know you cant do anything about it, But the trees kinda kill it for me.

Everything else is good though, The mountain looks great, the stream looks very natural, and the rocks just look plain cool with all the different colors. Well, not that many, but you get what I mean.

I agree that there isn't enough detail just above the stream.

Probably the whole image is a little too dark but with the sky overcast/grey like that not much to do but spend some time in PS to see if you can balance things out.

I have to agree with Tel...the trees obscure the mountain just a little too much for me.

Yeah the trees are too messy in the forground for me. Would probably be better in Autumn if there were lots of nice reds and oranges covering up the mountains (so you don't know what you are missing behind)

Trees...the trees the trees the trees..... I think you could have taken a different angle, maybe move to the right and take the shot, since the trees seem to be going in descending order from tallest to smallest.... But that would then mean the mountain could get out of the picture...Not so sure it would be a bad thing!

Short of post processing, i wouldn't keep the image, specially if you already think of it as a picture on a dull day!

    Re: mountain and stream

Dull Day = overcast, foggy, cold, and a little bit of wind.
I am going to keep the image so I can go back and see how and what I have done to take better pictures.Would I print it out, probably not.
PP I did play with it lol a little bit, I do not have the touch of some others with PP.

I'm actually liking the trees, subject wise. Thought they cover the whole frame they do give it the 3 dimesional aspect.
I think you should be able to lighten the shadows between trees and stream and it would greatly improve the shot.
You live in a very photogenic area.
