    A Mountain Lake

At Mono Lake recently. This one has a bit of a fantasy effect. C&Cs welcome.

    Re: A Mountain Lake

Thanks fellows. It's natural: these unusual formations were once under water, as Mono Lake used to be significantly bigger and deeper than it is now.

This is a slide scan of I believe Kodak Vivid Saturated. It had been siting in my film Nikon F100 for a long time, maybe 1-2 years, and may have been heat-affected as the film came back purple Luckily I was easily able to color-correct it, but it appears the sharpness was affected also ... Gives me an excuse to go back and do it again.

I like it GB1. It does look other worldly.

Thanks everyone. I think you are more OK with the effect than I am. I think the sky and rock is alright, but the foreground looks too much like a wheat field blowing in the wind. Hmm.

Armando, that place does seem like it belongs in a prehistoric era.

Darius, the landscape does look alive somehow.

    Sweattea, thanks too.

Greg, originally being from the east coast, the whole west looks unworldly to me.. ha.
