Thread: Mountain.

    Mountain.

    It was shot in the afternoon in harsh lighting condition.
    I had no choice because I was a tourist. Any thoughts on compo and conversion?

    There are probably better times to shoot this (as you suggested yourself) - but I think within what was done ...I would crop a bit off the bottom ...and bring some detail back into the shadows, if possible.

    I don't see hardly any difference between the two (?) Decent shot, but I wonder if the geometry is strong enough for the black and white adaption. B&W needs those strong shapes. This one has a lot of neat little mountains in the background, and interesting sloped mountain in the top left, but I am still struggling to understand what I should be looking at, the ol where's the subject clique I'm afraid.

    Not sure, think you did OK given the angle and what was available. You can't really change the geometry w/o moving to a completely new position. Perhaps color would have made it a different photo, too, though I think the black and white makes it rugged-looking.
