    Moulton's barn

Mormon row Teton NP. Someone had hired a couple of actors and horses. The place was a zoo, photographers everywhere. Man can people be rude, some would just bust through the line of phototogs and set up in the way of everyone. Happened this morning too. Most were there an hour before sunrise, and the johnny come lately's walked up about 5 minutes before sunrise and set up right in front of the people that had come early to get a good shot. The early risers yelled and got the people to move. What a zoo. I guess I should stay away from iconic places.

    Beautiful image.

Not sure if that branch does anything for me, but that's personal preference only.

I didn't think people could be so rude.

    Re: Moulton's barn

One of my all time favorite locations! I'm in the early planning stages of going back next fall. When I was there, I was one of the first people to get there in the morning. Only 3 photogs in total showed up that morning and they were both very nice. We worked the scene close up together, then we all ventured back a ways and used a longer focal length for some more shots.

Since this is the critique forum, I guess I better comment on the photo.

I do find the branch at the top of the frame to be a bit distracting. I do like the idea of having the people and the horses in the frame, but I feel that the people kind of get lost. The woman in particular. Perhaps a little bit longer focal length to sneak under the branch, and to crop out a pit of the FG and make the people stand out a bit more? That being said, I do like the image and I find it to be a new take (at least for me) on a very common photo subject.

    Re: Moulton's barn

I struggled with this one. I didn't have a lot of choice on focal length or composition. There had to be nearly 25 photographers there all competing for the best space. I was sitting under a tree, trying to stay out of the others way, while still finding a space for me. It was tough finding the models in the right place and having the other elements there too. This one still showed the barn, the Grand Teton, and both models with reasonable light.

I rather like the branch, myself, but the barn being chopped on the left bothers me.

Nice image but don't care for the branch also weeds in front of barn look a little washed out and the sky well is just a sky.
