    Mother and Daughter

I normally shoot landscapes and have been trying my hand at portraits.
I was recently in NY at a family get together and I was snapping away so I decided to post a few of the shots.

These are two shots of a friend and her daughter I'm posting the original and the pp I hope anyone can give me a bit of C&C so I can improve.
    I appreciate any help.

I think you did very well with blurring the backgrounds w/o making it unnatural.
    mostly Nikon gear

Feel free to edit my images for critique, just let me know what you did.

Very nice portraits. I'm glad you show the before and after.
My only issue is the little girl looking a little too posed, like she is forcing a smile, but that is hard to get I know.

    Thanks

Yeah that's her "I would rather be over there making mud pies" smile.

Do you think that the skin tones are off in the pp versions?

Skin tones look really good to me.
