    moss macro

saw this scene yesterday and really liked the texture of the yellow on the wall but it looked bland without any real focus point so found the moss and really like the angle from above. hope you do too.

    baldemort -

I like the individual elements of green vegetation and moss. However, that yellow background makes it hard for the green thing to 'pop.' It's almost like camouflage. Good eye, and good choice of camera angle.

To me it seems just a little bit two dimensional, perhaps shooting the moss from a slight angle might give the image some depth.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I like it as is. The composition is really interesting and I'm not sure I'd want to see another angle. I might experiment with darkening the bg just a tiny bit to separate it from the "subject." I was wondering about increasing the contrast ever-so-slightly, as well. But I like what you've done.

    Re: moss macro

many thanks or the replies guys and sorry for the late reply. only problem with another angle is that it was taken on a 90mm macro so a different angle would induce all sorts of depth of field issues which would be acceptable on the background, but would render only a small portion of the moss in focus. thanks again
