I realise now (two days late) that a triptych of this might work.
I'll look for a centred wide angle shot to complete this.
Meanwhile, I'd like to know if these are a good start.
I'm unsure about having shot with 24mm and having second thoughts about the distortion.
The first image I went in the end for a straight skyline (valleys permitting).
Which left the bridge desk and the pillar looking odd.
But I like the diagonal shadow leading to the river, curving into the distance, returning along the skyline.
Or the pillar leading to the railway/road, leading to the shadow, leading back up to the road deck.
I think it captures the eye and keeps you in the image.
I prefer the second for all the contrasts.
Misty left, clearer right.
Sky top right, land bottom left.
Speedboat right, passenger boat left.
Vertical pillar, horizontal bridge, diagonal shadow.
Layers of sky, trees, vines, water in the top 2/3.
Would it be better if there had been a train as well as the boats and the car ?
Or is that too many elements in the one photo
Do you think the boats are overkill, and is the first better ?
