    Re: morning reflection.

I think it's a beautiful photo. However, I'd reshoot on a bit of a brighter day for more depth of field. To me, a photo such as this would look better sharp from front to back. Some may disagree with me on that but the whole scene makes the photo. Even being able to decrease the F stop to at least F8 would make quite a difference.

    Thanks for sharing.

This is a very nice photo. I'm not sure I'd try for something brighter because you would then lose the nice colors. The only other thing I would mention is something I remember reading in some magazine about shots like this; you should have something in the near foreground to help give the picture depth. The shot also feels a little too centered. Do you have other versions that have more water or more sky?

this is beautiful as is. However I think that slightly more of the right side of the photo would help... maybe some more water. I guess what im saying is a little more wide angle shot. other than than beatiful. nice exposure and nice reflection.

    Re: morning reflection.

thanks guys,i was the few moments in the morning as the sun was coming over the trees from the east,i was standing on a boat dock and snapped two pictures, the other one was with the tree tops too high, showing no sky,i was more focus locked on the shore, for clear reflection in the water, this was the only one that shows background sky over the trees, but as for general composition i wanted the eye to catch the shore and it tends to draw your attention to the point of shore line like a arrow, according to my histogram it was showing right on good ev balance at 0.0, iso 400, f/4.0 exposure time 10/800 sec.

This is quite a good shot with lovely colours. I would select the dark trees and add a large feather of around a 150-200 and adjust the curves slightly to brighten the shadows just a tad.

For this sort of photo, I always use a tripod and F16+ normally F22 @ ISO 100 with a slow shutter to capture all the detail.

    Re: morning reflection.

thanks for all the advice on my picture, but as you know the sony h5 limits me on my f stops from f2.8 to f 8.i truely believe in taking the best possible shot from the camera's ability with out changing everything on photoshop.with great software anyone could make the simpliest point and shoot shine beyond it real range.i will take all advice in my next scenery shoot, thanks to all.
