    Morning Glory

Some tell me they really like this ...others tell me it does not have a strong subject, so it's no good ...strangely, I am attracted to shots like these ...why? Thanks for letting me know your thoughts ...

It is a nice shot, very crisp and sharp, a nice line (the stream) and it presents a mood of sorts. It does lack a subject, but, perhaps, people project themselves into the environment you have created and become the subject themselves (?).

Depends. As a scenic image where I can look around, explore and wonder, it is very nice. As a competition image where the judge is going to spend less than 5 sec, you need the strong subject. My opinion. - Terry

    Re: Morning Glory

Looks like a really quiet little spot (besides the water sound).

This one lacks contrast, which does create a peaceful feeling. I think a little more contrast is needed though, so try bumping it up in your fav post processing application. yes, no subject, but I think it's OK here... the distant fog becomes it.

    Re: Morning Glory

For what it is (a landscape), it is very, very nice. More than enough atmosphere to make up for lack of a strong central subject (though I obviously see what Terry is saying).
