    More Gina

Another quick snap in my kitchen. Using window light only.
Amazing what you can find around the house to use as props isn't it lol.
I told Gina to lean against my stainless steel fridge.

Your thoughts, as always, are much appreciated. TIA

Well done, Alison. the fridge made a great prop in that it has a mild texture and non distracting. It's straight vertical line is good here as well. The tones are nice, lighting working well, and subjects pose and hand placement/position is good. I think you did fine. Good work

Nice shot, Alison! this shot has a nice clean vintage feel to it. I like the highlights on her eyes, they really reinforce the mood of the shot. The tones are nice and I can't really think of any improvements that can be made on the technical side. I would say, however, that that the cuff of her top doesn't work here at all. As far as we can see from her shoulder and neck she's not wearing anything up top, so that cuff appears out of nowhere. I think if you were to push it down it would eliminate that disconnect.
Nice shot, and thanks for posting!

Y'know MMC, I almost cropped that sleeve out because I was thinking the same thing. But I decided to leave it in because I felt I was cropping too much of her hand out.

I wish I planned my shots a little more rather than catching Gina when she is just off out the door lol.
I may re-shoot it another day but then my re-shoots never turn out quite so well.

Thank you both for your comments. Much appreciated.

Another great portrait shot Alison. Gina's expression and your capture of it and the composition is very interesting. I somehow feel a little uneasy about her hand being that close to the edge of the photo -- but, the danger of it sliding out also appears to make it more interesting.

I would have never even noticed the cuff thingie... I guess that's why I'm not a portrait photographer ;) I guess the little things are extremely important in shots like this .....

Gee, I'm jealous! It must be great to have daughters that can pose like professional models, but their mother must have something to do with that.

Thank you so much. Flattery will get you everywhere lol.
Yeah I do tell her chin up, chin down, hand too high that sort of thing but most of it comes from Gina herself. She really loves being that side of the camera, as you can probably tell.

One things for sure, she should have a great value portfolio by the time I have finished

Alison,,,,I thought I was in a time warp when I viewed this image at first,,,,soooooo 60's...It is sharp as a tack,,nice skin tones and exposure...I like the contrast between the hard metallic edge of the fridge and Gina's skin..
I would have shot it a bit looser and have Gina slide up the sleave of her top to exclude it..

And as Ronnoco mentioned,,she is easy on the eye..
