I like them both but especially the second. I always like paths/roads leading towards infinity. Did you boost that green? Its very vivid and not overdone.

I'm using a technique of merging processed (sharpening, contrast, and color boost) with the normal image. It produces textures and enhances some features of the photo.

I really like the second photo Don. The coloring and textures are very pleasing to me. I'm wondring if you shot this as a horizontal? The strong line of the path going through the frame looks like it could be perfect for a horizontal, as long as you could keep the sky out of the image. Can you give us more details on how you processed these?

Both are great looking images,Don. Especially Path of wood Chips. the red and greens are great together and the charm of the scene, composition and lighting makes this work great.

the second pic is very nice..pleasing to the eye.. very nicely composed. In the first pic, the blown out sky blends too much with the white bark of the trees and i think they should be more of a focal point contrasting out.

I agree with the previous posters...that second shot is beautiful. I love the trees against the bright green of the grass.

Thanks very much guys. I think I discussed this method before. I make a high sharpened and high contrast layer and merge it with the original photo, adjusting transparency.
