    Moonrise

Took this a while back and felt it could be more. Then I learned some more ps techniques and fixed it up a bit. What do you think?

I think the PS version looks much better. Nice shot. Good detail on the moon.

I agree. The PS one seems richer, and I like that.

thanks. How's the compositon work for you? Does it do enough to hold one's interest?

It does for me, but I meditate a lot and this is the kind of scene I like to envision.

I too like your edited version better, but I feel the comp. is too static. I find the moon to be too centered. I think moving the moon off to one side would help the image a lot. It would also leave a lot of open space on the oposite side of the image, and I'm not sure if that would be a good thing or not...

    Re: Moonrise

I tried that, and a few other things but they didn't look right. The best I can describe it is that it looked unbalanced, like it was trying to tip over. I think for an off center composition I'd need someting esle in the negative space, or some perspective in the foreground to balance it out.

    Thanks for the comments...

    Re: Moonrise

This is a really nice image, and the edited version really brings out the colours a lot more.

after reading the last few comments on this image, i couldn't resist trying to move the moon around, and thought i'd post up the result. hope you don't mind me messing with the pic.

by the way, i've no problem with the moon being central in this image (doesn't upset the pic in any way),just thought you might like to see this..

    cheers
    anew.

p.s. let me know if i'm over stepping the boundaries.
