    Unfortunately this is a throw away. The washed out area and the green spot certainly don't make any centre of interest.

    It's no throwaway. A green spot can be cloned out and the pattern of trees is worth looking at. It would make a good background for something.

    With today's hard drives, there's no such thing as a throwaway. The bright spot (moon) sucks me in.

    The green spot can certainly be cloned out but an overexposed washed out section certainly does not draw or hold the attention of most viewers. Most people would just see it as a photographer error.

    By the way, I have a 500 gig hard drive on just one of my computers, and I still throw away and erase shots as do most others.

    In my view, the odd tone and the various patterns makes for an interesting mood but the center area is a little too bright. The green dot is strange. Could it be a flaw in the coating of the lense?

    the green dot is just lens flare.. it could be easily gotten rid of.. not really worth it thow.. another example of expecting the camera do do something it cant.. it might have worked with one F-stop less.. dunno

    S.30" is that 30 seconds or 1/30 shutter speed?

    If so then you definitely could have used much less.... the washed out area alone is too bothersome...i agree....

    As for throwing away images, well if you dont because you have enough space, then you got issues letting go man (jk) for someone starting off then maybe you would keep them for a while until you are able to understand and see the flaws, you keep them to maybe experiment.... but some pictures are just throwaways....no salvaging them....these you throw away.... I do it all the time and i have an external 1TB (terabyte....1000GB) hard disk....

    A little PP might allow you to do some things. It could use sharpening, and I might also darken it a little and/or play with the contrast.

    But what I keep seeing here is a witch flying across the moon. The flare spot almost acts as one.

    Re: moon on the trees

    Thanks a lot for the comments..

    Is an untouched shot what I post.. I think it can be worth keeping it.

    30" = 30 seconds ;)

    That green spot bother me as well but beside Picasa I don't have any software or knowledge to remove it.

    Here is two different versions of the picture.
