Caterpillar shot is ok . The pic of the moon is very good. You caught a nice mood with the branches silhouetted in front of the glowing moon. Nice image. I just not happy with it in its cropped square shape. Would be better I feel if you cropped it some on the right and left to bring it into a vertical rectangle. It would also keep the focus on the moon, clouds, and branches and eliminate the dark empty areas around the sides. Good pic

    Is that really the moon?

I would hope so, because looking at the sun through your viewfinder is very bad for your eyes (and also your digital sensor, if digital is what you're using). The intensity of the light is just very un-moon-like. Looks like it could be a shot of the sunset with an very high shutter speed (effectively underexposing everything around the sun).

Anyway, the moon exposure is great IMO. You've captured a difficult subject and really allowed it to enhance the mood of the piece. The only real issue is that it is too centered. Otherwise, nice work.

    the moon

I really like your moon shot. I would agree with the others by croping the left and right to make more of a rectangle... but for me, I would say leave some of the black.

    Dear PuckJunkey

It was really a shot at the moon ! That particular night i have tried a view shots with the full moon . And the sky was also nice and clear , but for some reason the other pictures did not came out very well . Maybe i should have used a tripod , but if i tried to zoom to maksimum the picture were out of focus . The first time i saw the picture on my pc i also thought it look more like the sun than the moon !
    Thanks for your comments !

    Kind regards
