    I think that I like the first conversion better. This one seems a little to sharp, but the legs have more detail this time. I have been working on B&W conversion as well. Are you using channel mixer??

    Black and white is certainly not appropriate for this kind of shot. It loses considerable impact. Stick to colour.

    Yeah, it is risky, no doubt about that. And when considered against the original that has so much color....but, it was worth the try. It is fun just to push it, pull it, tweek it and see where it takes you.
