Misty Field (aka That Stupid Tree AGAIN)

As some of you might remember I have this stupid tree that is driving me nuts. I'm for some reason drawn to it but, just can't seem to get the shot of it I want. Anyway a couple weeks ago on my way into work there was a really cool sunrise over the field with a bunch of mist burning off. I wasn't too happy with the shot after development. Today I was going through deleting old scans off the HD and took a second look at it. Now I'm kind of liking it for some reason. Thought I might throw it to the jury and see what you all think.

Grainy and out of focus. The tree is too far away to be a good focal point and my eye is quickly pulled to the haziness of the picture rather than the composition of it. If you zoomed in or got closer to the tree and cropped out most of the left side of the picture but left the tree to the right and off-center, get the focus perfect and it would be a pretty awesome photo. Just my .02 though. ;)

I can see why you like it! The bottom portion, I think, is lovely - lots of space, yet the lone tree draws the eye and the misty effect is very evocative. I think there is a lot more sky than you need though - I would be inclined to crop a goodly chunk off the top to make a landscape format.

Focus looks fine to me, Aaron. It is, after all, misty. I think it works quite well except for the excees sky. I'd crop quite a bit but then in a print the sky might not be too much except for the vignetting in the corners.
    I like it wide.

Thanks for the input everyone I guess I have been spending a bit too much time in the TLR/Rollei groups on Flickr as I've picked up quite the taste for big skies. I'll play around with some different crops if I decide to print this.
