    Mission Bay

In San Diego California. I shot a half roll of this lagoon area but guessed wrong on exposure time, overexposing all the shots. Got some interesting colors out of it anyways. I believe it was Fuji Reala film.

    Hello

This image to me is screaming for a different horizontal composition. It needs much more space on top I think, and I'd definitely crop out the dark bottom left corner.

Other than that, the colors are wonderful (Reala is GREAT for night photography!) and I think I'd agree with you that the highlights are too much. I would especially focus on that white blob in the center of the frame. It looks kinds like a mushroom cloud.

I would also suggest posting a larger version, about 450 pixels high, so we could take in the whole effect. Very nice!

Rick - I'll have to re-scan it an repost with a different composition. The problem with adding more space at top is that there's nothing there, so it sees a little empty. This composition was an experiment to see if that 'super-wide' look worked (I guess not). I was able to get away with it from a resolution standpoint because night shots always seem sharper prob due to the higher contrast.

I think I'll stick with Reala for night shots! Maybe I'll shoot another roll before the Xmas lights around town get put away..
