Poor guy, looks to have an injury. Were you this close up or zoomed? Cool shot and thanks for all the outdoor pictures, makes me want to hike badly.

Cool shot. It looks overly sharpened, like maybe a crop that was a little soft to begin with.

Yeah, I love it, but my first thought was "cropped and sharpened."

    Re: Million Dollor View

A nice capture. My first thought when I saw this image was that it looks like an on camera flash was used. I don't use my flash much, but when I do, I want to try to balance the light from the flash, with the natural light around me. This looks like it could use a little less flash power and move the flash away from the camera. Of course if a flash wasn't used, then disregard.

I like the catch light in the eye.

Great shot Hiker however the snowed stone down center distracts the main subject, I suggest cropping the lower portion …I can see these little animals are quite tough

P.S. If you are doing some PP I would also suggest to have the sky just a touch bluer

    Re: Million Dollor View

    Thanks for the replies.

No flash was used. The sun was at my back and lit the little dude up, and I had to stop it down 2 stops in processing..got lucky I could save it (gotta love RAW). When I re-sized it I can now see I over sharpened it..man I can never get that right.

apass, I cloned out the rock originally but for some reason I liked it better with it. i thought it balanced it out better with the snow covered mountain in the background..personal preference i guess but I appreciate your insite.

    Thanks again
