    mens suit in window

caught this one the other night on newbury street along with some other window display shots at various stores. my first time with this kind of shot, i was inspired by some of the other window shots i've seen in this forum. i liked the feel, especially after converting to b&w. one self-criticism is the light reflections from the street - most notably the big white blob on the lapel. thoughts?

Excellent Stew, this one is right on all counts. Just try to get the hang of some basic editing techniques, such as the one Penny has done for your shot and those little annoyances like the blob of light won't be such a big problem. Great Shot!

I really like this shot quite a bit. Good eye for being able to see something so generic as a suit and turn it into a striking image....

with the few alterations that Penny made...I think it's great as is....

i have quite enjoyed your b&w pics. particularly the milk shot which was great, and also your friend on the balcony. i think you exhibit a touch of overexposure which works very well in your shots, and since i like that effect i tried to mimic it a little here. so thanks very much for your positive response!

I think you did a good job with your first try on this kind of shot, just keep on trying and you'll get the hang of it in no time.

    Thanks for sharing this one.

    Best to You,

i agree with everyone that penny's editing really helped! after looking at this more, the white lapel blob needs to go. however, what do you think about the other, more subtle reflections in the upper left corner, and on the neck of the mannequin? i'm wondering if they don't add to the picture, not subtract? agree or disagree?

later this week i'll try to remove the white blob but keep the others, repost and see how it looks.
