I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
I really like this one Tom. The composition is excellent along with the processing. The leg in the frames helps because it seems he has a victim. Nicely done.

Pretty menacing photo. It is not super sharp and the image quality is a bit low (probably due to trying to sharpen it up to where you got it), but it works as a photo journalistic image. My guess is that you snapped it quickly before the moment escaped?

pretty powerful image, it gives the impression of a concealed weapon. The image as a whole is a bit artifacty though on my screen. anyways, good photo that conveys a story. nicely done.

Thank you for letting me know your thoughts.
I agree, if this shot was marked on technical quality it would go down the pan. It is a small part of an otherwise uninteresting picture and quality was lost as a result of the crop and some selective work. I would prefer had it been a bit better though to be honest.
More important for me in this instance, as with a lot of my photography, was that people would feel the mood that I felt the image conveyed. So thanks to you all and I am so happy that you picked up on this.
On this side of the water no one picked up on the message.
