Personal opinion is that the guy checking the timetable and the "dumpster diver" work the best out of the 4. Red hat guy, seems soft and I'm not crazy about the PP technique, and in the first shot, I think you could stand to lose everthing to the rigth of the post and it would make a stronger image.
The dumpster diver is the only one that does much for me, I would like to see it somewhat sharpened (hopefully you have a better capture?) and darkened a little... here's a good article on B&W conversion in PS: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tut...lack-white.htm
I wish I could say more, but I just toy around with the mixer until it seems right. I start with 70/20/10 for each combination and go from there.
