    In Memory Of

This shot was taken in San Fransisco last spring with casual discontinued model of Sony DSC-W1. I used Topaz Adjust to edit the exposure to bring out the colors of the stone.

    Re: In Memory Of

hi there, i like the colour in the stones and it gives the shot a good 3d feel not sure about the colour of the palms and the sky looks fake, but the stone colours is great. maybe taking a couple of exposures one for the stone work and one for the background and blending them in photoshop or photomatrix would work better? although this is a skill im yet to master but in the mags ive read people seem to be able to use that skill for great effects.

Welcome to the forum. I think the composition is very good. I like the tones and coloring of the stone, but the trees look as though they are washed outperhaps by too much adjustment. The sky looks great.
The whole image looks soft, not sharp but aside from that i like the composition.

This is a wonderful study in texture--almost all gray. Very well done.

The post-processing gives a very different and dreamy effect.
