    Excellent focus and DOF. The subject is very clear and well placed in the image. The conversion to BW is good as well ...good contrast overall. The eye of the bird is sharp, and it seems to be looking at the the viewer, which is great. The only thing I can suggest is to get rid of that white speck just left of the claws. Great.

    I agree with llewpics, but would like to see more room top and bottom (especially top). Do you feel that you need to maintain the 3:2 format? - Terry

    b&w is an excellent choice for this, really like the shallow dof and how it makes the subject the point of attention

    The black and white is brilliant. I love the texture in the feathers. I would have liked to see a bit more space around the subject. He's such a dramatic subject that I think he could afford to share a bit more space in the photo.

    I can't wait to learn how to take pictures of this caliber!

    Wow! Texture is the first thing I noticed. The DOF is absolutely on point. And the B&W works very well with this shot. What a good job!
