    Re: Maternity photo

Is this your wife/girlfriend? If so, maybe you can get a few more shots using different lighting techniques.

I love her pose. And I LOVE silhouette's.

The lamps bother me a little. I'd prefer not to see them but I see what you are trying to do. Backlighting right?
You don't have to have posh studio lights to get shots like this. I use windows. Do you have a large window?
    Here's an example http://gallery.photographyreview.com...&ppuser=246535
Or...find a nice open field and have her stand in front of a sunset

You can also have her stand in front of the window, facing the window, with a black bg to her side so that the light paints her profile. I love that type of lighting.
A little bit like this http://gallery.photographyreview.com...&ppuser=246535

    I hope this helps.
I hope we will see some more maternity shots from you.
    Good luck.

    Re: Maternity photo

    Thanks for the comments Allison.

Actually it is my sister and unfortunately a reshoot isn't possible, as she had my new nephew a week ago yesterday. ;) The shot above was impromptu. I was over at their house and was working with what was at hand. This shot really wasn't planned. It was actually my sisters idea to do the silhouette. The sun was more or less down and they didn't have any good windows anyway. I thought the lamp was unusual and I liked the patterns on their walls and how they converged in the corner of the room, so I used that.

Ahhh well it's a beautiful shot nonetheless.
I wanted to do my Niece's maternity pictures but she had the baby 17 days early!
And I regret not having any artistic maternity shots done of myself now. All I have are timer cheesey grin shots
