    Re: Matchbox 2

CL - I like the mood and the emptiness of the scene, but I think that the picture on the right side is way too close to the side and top (corner) of the photo. Actually, I'd go ahead and clip it, that would relieve the tension. The photo could probably also stand to use a bit of PP sharpening - did you handhold the shot? Somehow it seems like a classroom in my old HS ...

IF it wasn't for the title, I would never have figured out what the thing on the window sill was.

Also my eye is drawn to the empty shadow where there is nothing to look at.

I think the light on the wall would have made a better subject if the picture wasn't there, or if the matchbox was on a shelf and directly lit by the window light.

    Just my .02 worth.

All right! Fair enough. I will admit I was half cross eyed and asleep when I posted this. I suppose at the time I thought I was posting a comparison for Matchbox 1. A lesson learned - don't make decisions about posting images at 2:00 AM. Thanks everyone! It's no keeper. I was romanced by the afternoon light and the funny cartoon on the opposite wall but there really isn't any point to it at all. IF you were disappointed by this one please post a critique on my other match box posting. Thanks!
