    Match

Picture of match igniting. Reshoot with more flame? Crop differently? Light differently?

    Re: Match

    Nice shot.
More flame would be nice though.
    What are the particulars.
    Look through a glass eye.
    Give it a few tries.
Nothing goes right in its time.

    Re: Match

1/200, f/8, 200m with 25mm extension tube (allows me to focus significantly closer, this was just cropped and rotated to make it 8x10 instead of 4x6). I'm not too happy with how I lit this because I'm pretty sure my hand blocked a strobe while lighting this match and I didn't get the desired effect of a rimlight to separate it some from the background and a main light to get detail on the front.

Edit, here are two more. The first appears extremely red (flame), although this may be a result of lighting it with a lighter instead of match (my WB remained on flash)

#2 of your second post is great. I like the smoke trails, and that the whole flame is in the frame.

    Re: Match

I like the first one a lot, but as snoid said - it would be better with the top of the flame included. Second shot does nothing for me, compared to the other two. Third shot has some fantastic elements, LOVE the smoke, the flame, and the off center position of the subject match. Don't care for the second match being in frame though, and it would be tough to clone out because it alters the direction of the flame. If you could get the third shot without the second match, I think you'd have an award winner.
