    Good idea here Roger, I really like the complimentary colors. I think the plateful is a bit too busy, though. Removing that beatup pile that's closest to the knife blade before shooting would have left a few elegant peels to make your statement in a more photogenic fashion. If you set up a shot like this again (that is "get hungry again") bounce some light down into the lower part of the background.

    Interesting shot. I'd personally get rid of the knife, I think the blackness of the knife somewhat takes away from the shot. Also, the lighting issue, but that can be fixed quite easily.
