    Man at the Fountain

I am not sure I have anything here subject wise or compositionally. But I wanted to share another one from the darkroon. I finally got my hands on some contrast filters so now my pictures will not be as flat. The scan here tends to blow out the highlights and details in the water when compared to the print but this is close to the real thing. Let me know if you see improvement???
I think I have made every possible mistake one could make in the first week or two. Maybe soon I will run out of them.:cryin:
By the way a co-worker of mine told me " As clumbsy and forgetful as you are I can only imagine you in a darkroom"

Do you dodge and burn? Most of the time, Greg, I find your black & white image kind of flat and could use more contrast. You can affect the contrast of the final image - off the top of my head - in development, using different paper, and dodge & burn. Of course it could just be my personal taste speaking

AE, I just started using contrast filters on this one. I agree the others were flat due to this. I used a #2 contrast filter here, I think that it is the most common used. I tried a 2 1/2 and a 3 but the contrast was to much. I haven't tried to burn and dodge yet. I haven't run into what I thought was a problem area. Or got brave enough or knowledgable enough to this point. Maybe my chicken heart will brave that area soon.LOL
