    Pictures I took last night

I took these in the middle of the desrert, found this site just sitting all by itself. I like the first one the best. The last one catches my attnetion but I don't know why exactly. Shots were taken in AP mode with my F828.. Thanks.

    What do you think?

Interesting site you found. I too like the first one best but i'm not sure that centering the corner was the best composition. I'd try about 1/3 light and 2/3 dark. the angled courses of brick make for a good shot. Nice work.

Nice work. You might consider a different angle once in a while though.

Thaks for the compliments and comments! I thougt that the angled rows could make the 50/50 compostion work. I just wanted to try it..

JoeD, what do you mean by a different angle? Thanks again!

I like the first one too - the out of focus foreground in the third one just doesn't look right to me.

I do like the centered symmetrical composition of the first shot though, it's a very strong image. The light and shadow make the two sides enough different that it's not boring which it probably would be if the light was even. One thing - the vertical line at the corner isn't exactly vertical (tripod and level would help a little).

D'oh! Horizontal and verticle are my arch enemies!

I wondered about the out of focus foreground in that last one too. I thought I'd get other people opinions on it. My subject is supposed to be the bent bolt...
