    Magic Wings, Deerfield, MA Photo Get-Together Shot for Critique

    NEF sponsored a shoot at Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory on 5/20/2007. Here is my favorite shot from the bunch... C&C welcome!

    That's a real nice shot. There seems to be a little motion blur on the wings. You I would think the shutter speed would be fast enough. Nice capture...

    I think slight wing blur from the flap is necessary, otherwise it might be a dead one stuck on a pin and posed rather than caught in flight.
    However I think this one is more focussed on the hindwings than the forewings, they look soft focussed rather then motion blurred.
    The flash has stopped it very effectively.

    Wow! great shot! The eyes look in focus so i think the slight blur elsewhere does not effect the shot at all! well done!!
