Macro -- Looks a bit like a horse, doesn't it?

Taken with Nikon D70 and Tamron 90mm macro plus Tamron SP 1.4x teleconverter. ISO 200 and f/56 at a shutter of 2.5 seconds on a tripod. Cropped a littel and sharpened.

    Your thoughts and critiques appreciated.

I would like a little more saturation---not a lot--just a little. Great shot though. Up close and personal.

F/ 56? Quite high, but I guess it is needed for a macro shot. I saw this in the nature and wildlife thread and love it. An overwhelming presence and a great shot.

reminds me more of a roman gladiator, with that 'armor' around its shoulders.

    You're so funny!

This is a great shot of an icky bug! I think Kelly is right. Not so much a horse as an armadillo or something.
