    Re: Loving the camera

I think she'll like it (I hope she will) but it's not to my taste.
The glow is overdone, for me.
But the sharpness of her right eye really makes the image.

I'm a little concerned that I can't see her left eye, it seems to have been blurred by whatever filter was applied to soften her hair. The more I look at it, the more I want to see the eye sharp behind her hair.

    Re: Loving the camera

I think that it's flattering but, like Paul said, maybe a little too bright/hot in some spots. Actually, this effect, and also the way her hair is covering her one eye might in style in Brittain but I think it's a bit out of style in the states... Really not a bad shot at all, just misses a little, style wise. And this is only my opinion of course. I think she will like it.

    Re: Loving the camera

Oh I was told it looked demure and playful. And it's just my preference, I love her hair over one eye shots
It's interesting to get professionals opinions on my work, though. I shall have to stop using that diffused glow filter if I am to win anymore awards
Thank you both for your comments.

    Re: Loving the camera

    Alison,

For me its a little too soft and the sholder and forehead a little blown. Add me to the list wanting to see the other eye, doesn't have to be all just need to see some of the iris.

    Re: Loving the camera

Ok...I have worked on the image to the best of my ability.
Here it is slight level adjustment (boring old ordinary B&W lol and her eye showing more). Any better?
Let me know what you think...

    Re: Loving the camera

For me its much better - however I think I would have prefered it if the hair was pushed back past the pupil so that the second eye was clearer.
