    Lotus leaf

A small lotus leaf. I saw it in the dragonfly pond of a nature education center. Shoot it, remove some dirt and croped. Thanks for watching!

    Hiya Percy.....welcome to the forum.
Interesting shot. Hard to tell that's a pond. I think you could eliminate some of the area by cropping off the bottom of the picture. Right now the vast expanse of water takes away from the lotus leaf. JMHO

I like it too. It has a wonderful abstract quality. I normally like shots that are busier and "louder" but this one is very zen in nature! Well done. The only thing that doesn't sit well with me is that bit on the left poking through. It is disrupting the peacefulness of the water to me.

I like this shot a lot. The color of the water is great. It's one of those peaceful, tranquil scenes that help you relax.

I'd like to see more water if you have it (as long as it is as monotone as you show it here). Then, if you can put the leaf off center to get it out-of-balance, it might make it even more thought provoking. Example, go portrait with a lot of water on the top 2/3. Don't know how much water you have to play with so it may not work.

I agree with Loupey. The shot is great, the water looks perfect. The only thing is that you need to crop it.

You might try to crop it in landscape style with the leaf at the lower 1/3. This way you will get three layers in your photo!

    Great work!
