    Hi Dave,

    What a very interesting, high contrast picture you have presented us with. I like it and it works for me. You've certainly made some bold decisions with this portrait. The black breakdown around his eye is what draws me the most. It looks so wrong but is still very intriguing. He has great facial features which you've dramatized to good effect with back lighting as well.

    Hooray for different but interesting!!!

    Very nice work. Reminiscent of some National Geographic portraits I have seen somewhere. You should shoot a whole series like this...

    Thank you for the comments and I can see how the reaction would be mixed. I myself am not usually to fond of this kind of photo but something made me explore a new kind of portrait other than the typical. I like to push the limits and figured it can either boom or bust. God bless
