    Location HDR

Same location, different trip. For an upcoming shoot. Does it work?

EDIT: I'm pretty new to this HDR thing. Wondering how I can make mine more effective.

This is pretty good to me. Is there any detail hidden in the overexposed entrance?

Looks awesome just as it is. Certainly enough detail in the shadows. i would not want any detail in the light area outside. It has an ethereal look right now with the blown out areas diffusing softly into the bridge opening.
    Perfect like this.

The rails and the ties are nice and sharp with great detail. Assuming there is going to a model involved, I don't know what the detail outside the tunnel would add. As it is, it could look as though a train is coming.

It's good, but too big to see at once ;) you guys must be running insane resolutions. mine is:

    1680x1050,

I would try to keep the height less than 800px. for everyone's sake.

back to the photo though. I think it's a nice backdrop as you've shown in those other photos you've shared. I hope the railroad isn't active! I'm sure it's not!

    Re: Location HDR

    Thanks all.

Yeah, I was wondering if the file size was too big. Sorry bout that. Will have to remember to keep it to 800 on the long side.

There was originally lots of detail through the opening - mostly dull brown branches and sky - but it looked dumb to me. Lacked drama. So I added in some light/rays.

Dray, it looks to blown to me.........IMO

Maybe more light rays would help ???

Hmm... do you mean the opening of the tunnel or the inside? I purposely blew out the opening.

Will definitely try adding some light rays your way, now that I know how to do that. Thanks Vic!

    Dray,
I like this just as it is. Plenty of detail without looking overdone anywhere. It actually looks like you placed a large softbox at this end of the covered bridge, very convincing.
