Local Points of Interest Here in So Cal....

I've been doing some work for a local newspaper taking shots of local points of interest for people to visit on the weekend. The newspaper folks seem happy with my work and, I like their money!

Hi P,

The composition is good on both shots (can't comment on the middle one, since the link is broken!). The top one has very powerful color, orange and blue being complementary colors. It may be a tad oversaturated and soft, at least on the web version (it could be due to very high JPEG compression also.. hard to tell). The Japanese Gardens is a really nice shot and I like the person (with hat) in the shot too, which seems to add spice.

Thanks for your kind comments GB. I went in an re-linked the 2nd shot, hopefully it is showing for everyone now. Its kind of my trademark to shoot for the "dark and strong" ---

Very nice looking at these takes me back to many many memories. Born raised lived 30 years in Costa Mesa. graduated from CSULB. Very nice series

I like the first and third a lot. Seems like the second needs a different sky and might benefit from a tighter shot, foregoing the road.
