    Local Dam

    Please commend on the series.Basicly the same photo with different settings on the camera, or should I rather take the photo's on automatical settings?

    can you post what settings go with what pic

    and what camera you used...I am still learning so it would be a great help...just from an aesthetic sense...of just looking and liking...I like the sharpnes and clrity of the second and third but I really like the light and feel of number one.

    I am such a novice myself that I never even recorded the settings on my Vivitar VivCam digital camera.I will try and remember in future to record the settings.

    None of these shots are really bad Piet, but they all have one thing in common: too dark.

    I don't know if you have some imaging software that has a tool like "curves", but use it and you'll be amazed what's hidden in those darker areas, without washing out the pure blacks. It really has a postive impact on the mood of the images, especially image #1.
