    Re: Lobster ladies

I think that it is good and tells us alot by the body language, the lobsters in the pot, and the ones of the grill waiting to be cooked. Also the fact that these two ladies are on the beach doing all this adds to the story and what we can make out of it.
I do wish though that the lady in the bg was not there so that the one here in the fg would stand out strong against the sand and water. would be a big plus if we could see a bit more of her face too.
It is good and I enjoyed seeing it.

I like this composition but fined that the lobster and mussles in the lower left look washed out. They should have a bit more detail. Maybe burning in that area might help.

    Re: Lobster ladies

Skinney - Good subject and decent view of some aspects of the image scene. Other aspects, like the pots clipped off on the right and back, the women's faces (dark and turned away), and the overall harshness of the lighting weigh heavily against it. It is also a bit soft, which could be due to resizing or any number of other things. A wider angle lens and shooting this at a different time of day might solve the above mentioned issues.....

    Re: Lobster ladies

Very interesting scene and I like the dynamics in it.

But I feel somewhat detached from the ladies. Like something I would see if I were walking by. I think had you gotten lower, closer, and shot upwards (slightly) with a wide(r) angle lens, you could have made yourself (and us) more a part of the image.
