I love this idea, though I think a little more post processing is required to really make this picture standout. I'm not a master in the post processing, but I be lieve something is needed to highlight the rays of sun coming in. The silhouetted contrast is wonderful but I just wish the rays were a little more definite.
Barty, i like this very much. The framing and composition is right , as well as the exposure. The mass of silhouettes in the foreground are strong and deep black. The silhouettes create a pleasing pattern and shape around the well exposed lake. The mountains in the distance are also very nicely exposed and bring our eye far into the scene adding great depth and dimension. The light shining through is bright, and blown out some, but that is to be expected here and it fits within the realm of the scene. For me, the rays are subtle and fine. I think this is a fine image. Well done
I agree that this is great just the way it is! Very nice picture! I like the subtleness of the rays of sun and find it very calming......I would LOVE to live right there!
I like this as is, the sun rays being more defined would take away the ethereal look. I keep expecting the lady of the lake to hand out excaliber.
