    Little Bears Room

This was isolated from a large toy display in an old barn at Space Farms, N.J.
    What do you think?
    Thanks

I like this a lot. That slice of curtain on the left you might want to clone out, Gary. Maybe take a bit off the top to get rid of the part of that shelf in the corner at the top? Great capture. Works either way.

gary, I like the composition but the picture seems too new with old stuff??? make sense?? I can get my wife and make hand gestures and she can usually figure out what I'm talking about..Adobe has a krackle that might be different...I won't say the sepia word
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!

I like it. I think it's to "up and down" (I'm Sicilian, I can make the hand gestures) In other wods to verticle, can you do it in a landscape mode? Lord if you understood that you are good

I like it Gary you made the cramp quarters work well. The framing is great. I also like the color treatment and the blue window frame is perfect. If I had one nit pick it would be to clone the small table leg, if that is what it is? Lower left.

    Re: Little Bears Room

Great comments, John, Rod, Lori (yes, I did understand that) and Greg,

I was going to add a grain to this, can't remember why I did not. I think I will try it and see where it goes. . .I think that would work well here.
Lori, can't get a landscape outta this one, but I know what you mean by very vertical here. It was a tight comp
Greg, yeah you are right this was cramped. It's because this is not a room really but actually a set of ledges that go around the entire display room. On each ledge is a set of toys on display. This was an attempt to isolate the bear scene and creat the feeling of it being a room. I thought it worked to a degree, but I admit it has a tight feel about it.
I'll play with the suggestions here and see if I can improve upon this.
    Thanks for the great feeback.

This one has lots of charm Gary. I like the treatment and enjoy seeing the faint colours in the quilt. Lovely detail coming through on the various bits of furniture.I do feel though that large basket is so out of proportion, size wise, in comparison to everything else in the little "room".
I think you squeezed a lovely shot out here.

You are absolutely right about the basket. I wanted so badly to climb up there and remove it for the shot, but . . .
Thanks for your time, as always.

Here is an edited revision using a bit of the suggestions given here.
I am not sure if it looks better, or just different,
    What do you think?

Gary, it gives it more of a 1900's feel. All in the eye of the beholder. I like it, your first is also good... Each has a different personality.

    Re: Little Bears Room

Gary - Nice layout, good eye and fun creation. I'm not sure it's perfect but I think it has incredibly potential with all the interesting stuff here and there. The white area in the middle seems to draw me in and I am not sure it being that bland/blank is a good thing, but nothing to get too worked up over. The one thing that interferes with the scene, IMO, is that crazy hanging basket or whatever. It just seems out of place. I would even consider cropping out the top 1/2 or more of the shot to eliminate it. Otherwise, a very fascinating image.

    Re: Little Bears Room

Thanks Rod, and GB. Yeah, I'm liking the revised edit. Thanks to the good sugggestions from the board here. Gb, that basket was making me a nasket case that day. I wanted to remove it for the shot but it wasn't worth having the Toy police ride up and knock me over the head with a Candy Cane . . .
