    Lisa on Canvas

I have been playing around with an image of my daughter.
I gave it a "warm" B&W filter in Virtual Photographer and turned it down to 30%
Then gave it a Canvas look with the texturizer in PS.
I love it. Would love to know what you think

Fantastic work Ali! I especially like the eyes in this one. Did you bring back color, or is it the "warm" filter that makes them look hazel instead of grey? Does she have Hazel eyes? (For some reason I was thinking they were blue, but in the color version they still look pretty hazel...)

The texture and everything works very well with this image. You could even go further and use one of the brush stroke filters or BUZZ and give it a full "painterly" look and I think it would be very nice!

That's a great composition and good use of DOF. The canvas works here, though I like it mostly because it looks like a textured print. The tone is nice as well. I always find your catchlight to be almost artificial looking though. Do you sharpen them more than the rest of the image? That's not a nitpick, I'm just curious.

Shutterman - Thank you so much for your kind words.

Marty - No her eyes are blue/grey. I don't have the buzz filter

sebastian - Yes, I sharpened them a little because it is a cropped version.

Thank you all for your comments.

    Alison,

Looks great! A great shot and a wall hanger for sure! Everybody else summed it up so pretty much this is just a pat on the back for a job well done!
