I was having a play today I was really pleased with this being SOOC.
Window light and an 11 watt ceiling bulb. No flash or reflectors were used.
As always your thoughts please (good or bad).

Can you mark this out of 10 please. And, if you mark it down can you tell me the reasons.
Remember this is 100% SOOC
I will be doing some ps work on it later.

Beautiful as always, perfectly captured eyes and well composed but I don't like the light at all. On my monitor it makes her hair look gray is some places. I'm thinking she is waaaaay too young for that.

Most of it does on mine as well but over her right eye, right at the hair line and where her hair is parted to her left side it looks like she has gray roots. That could just be my uncalibrated monitor.

Alison,,,I like the lighting althought it lacks a bit of punch...I like the mix of lighting giving Lisa's hair that golden glow..When photographing children it is a good idea to photograph them at "their" eye level..

The photo looks beautiful on my monitor......especially the eyes - the composition is great. On my monitor there is also gray tones, and one place above her right eye that is almost silver.

Otherwise it is excellent.

Yogestee - Yes I know it lacks punch that's why I will be doing some ps work on it. Had I used my flash it may have brightened the colours a little?
And I loved the golden glow from the ceiling light too
And, lastly, I just wanted to try a different camera angle.

Liz - Yeah her hair has been bleached by the sun. She has her hair pulled back off her forehead in a ponytail.
That's how the school tell my twins apart lol. Jenny has her hair down and lisa ties her hair up.
I don't know why, but most of my pics have a grey tint when SOOC. Any idea how I can overcome this. I am trying to move away from so much PS work.
Could my grey tints come from having such a dark house?

Yes, her forehead and cheeks looked a little blown to me too. But the histogram was good and on my hubby's monitor (which is new) it looks just like a beautiful glow on her face.

Excellent post work! Her hair now shows highlights instead way more life experience then she actually has. A beautiful young lady!

Interesting that it was SOOC. the areas that concerned my on the original almost looked like they had been over dodged.

I completely agree. I LOVE the post work. She seems so alive in it. She seemed a little washed out in the original. Great Job!

All in all a good PS job on a good original. I think her forehead and cheeks are a bit blown tho. Could be my monitor too.

Lower your camera angle a bit. She looks like she's looking up and it's unnatural in a photo, tho not the case in real life.
