    Lips like sugar. Sugar kisses

That was one of the songs the band played, along with The Cure's "Love Song." She was a really, really good bassist. 10D ISO 800, 70-200 2.8L, which is a fabulous lens, by the way.

    Stephen -

She's a nice person to photograph alright and I see what you mean about the lips. The top shot is OK but her head is a little cut off (maybe you had to shoot fast). The bottom shot is sort of unfufilling the way she is looking away from the lens, and it's a little hot too. Maybe if you could talk her into a model shoot you could really do some great pix

I think the bottom photo is the better of the two. It is only hot because of the extreme latitude between the highlights and the shadows. Her shoulder was in sun, and the face in shadow. Anyway, I took several of her that day. Here is another.

There's something I like about the expression on her face. Can't really pinpoint it, but I think you captured it nicely.

Echo & The Bunnymen did the original.

#1 for me, but she has some sort of crisscross shadow on her face under her eye. Is that JPG pixelation?

try saving your jpegs at higher quality. THe jpeg artifacts really drive away the professional look.

Great shots, number 1 and number 3 are your best of these IMO. They are a tad hot (especially with the skin/tank top) but I think you did alright given the circumstances.

    Stephen!!!

    Where have you been!?!

I like the first, even with the head chopped. The second I would have cropped much closer, just her head and hair, and her shoulders. The third is great, love the expression.

Will we be seeing more from you?

    Hi Adina!

I've been, like Ishmael, on a long cruise.... A metaphorical one, so to speak.

I am back, for awhile anyway, until I sail on the next metaphorical tide....

How's these look? I changed the compression settings.

Stephen, those top two in your new set are keepers, definately look like something you'd see in an album cover or for a bio of her. Great composition and well done,

the compression change makes them look much better. I like the second one a lot. Others may have said the crop is tight, but I don't think so. It's tight enough, but not too much.

So, who's the band? Or did you mention that I just didn't notice?

Notwhithstanding the photo itself, but she's hot! An that's my professional take.
